Connect the SMS channel to your Android device.

(used only for Android devices. No support for iOS devices!)

To connect an additional SMS channel, use the button to connect your Android device from the Settings section:

Firstly, scan the 1-st QR code (or click download button) to download the APK file of WAxSMS Gateway application on your Android device.

You need to activate the ability to install unknown applications on your phone. You can do this by opening the phone settings and finding the “Permissions and Privacy” option or, in other Android models, find “Apps and Notifications” → “Advanced” and find the “Special Permissions” item, and in it - “Install unknown applications” and give permission to install applications.Install the waxsmsgateway.apk application on your Android device by agreeing to all the terms and conditions.

WAxSMS Gateway app installation process:

In recent versions of Android, Google is very careful about checking apps installed from sources other than the Google Play Market. Therefore, it's important to enable the ability to install apps from unknown sources on your Android device.


You need to follow these instructions for installation:

Temporarily disable Google Play protection.

Important: Google Play Protect is on by default, but you can turn it off. For security, we recommend that you always keep Google Play Protect on.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app .
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Play Protect Settings .
  4. Turn Scan apps with Play Protect on or off.

After installing the WAxSMS Gateway app, you'll be asked for permission. It's IMPORTANT to grant permission to send SMS messages!

If this prompt doesn't appear when you launch the app, you need to do the following: go to APPLICATIONS -> WAxSMS Gateway -> Permissionson your phone and allow the restricted settings:

In the same place in Applications for WAxSMS Gateway, it is advisable to disable the ability to stop the application

Also, to prevent the application from going into sleep mode and turning off, you need to remove restrictions in the phone's BATTERY settings for the WAxSMS Gateway application and allow the application to autostart:

On the Alteggio side, in the sectionIntegrations -> Notifications -> WAxSMS -> Settings set up a cascade based on WhatsApp and SMS sending priority

Use the enable button to activate cascade massaging and press SAVE

For your convenience, you can turn off the sound in Android apps to ensure silent operation of WAxSMS Gateway:

Features of the latest version

You can now send SMS messages without setting WAxSMS Gateway as your default SMS app, as in the previous version. However, to receive SMS messages, you still need to set it as your default app. You can easily set it by clicking the new option in the top-right menu of the app bar.

Log in WAxSMS Gateway app

Open the installed WAxSMS Gateway application on your phone and click the “Scan QR” button to connect the integration. Point the phone's camera at the second QR code from integration and wait for the success message.
